The Juried Solo Exhibition Series
Applications must be POSTMARKED on or before May 27, 2011The Clay Studio offers opportunities for one to three solo exhibitions annually. The number of exhibitions awarded is dependent upon the quality of the applicants. We are now accepting applications for the gallery season September 2012–August 2013.
The Clay Studio provides a four- color invitation, mailing, local and national coverage, and hosts an opening reception. Shipping both to and from the gallery are at the expense of the artist, though The Clay Studio provides a modest honorarium to help cover these costs ($250.00).
We encourage submissions from artists working in all types of and approaches to clay, as our primary goal is to represent the exciting diversity within this medium. Works may be mixed media, but clay must be the primary medium.
Application Process
No slides will be accepted for review, ONLY DIGITAL IMAGES
A complete application must include the following:
- a completed application form [PDF, 94K] in hard copy
- current resume in hard copy
- artist statement in hard copy
- a disc with 6 digital image .jpeg files at 72 dpi, with the images longest dimension not exceeding 700 pixels. Each image file should be labeled as follows: imagenumberyourfirstinitiallastname.jpeg, Example: 1jdoe.jpeg, 2jdoe.jpeg
- A correpsonding image list in hard copy that includes the following: image number, title, medium, size, and date.
NO DISCS WILL BE RETURNED AND NOTIFICATION WILL BE MADE VIA EMAIL.
There is no application fee.
All submissions must be postmarked on or before May 27, 2011. Selected artists will be notified by August 1, 2011.
