The Clay Studio fulfills a vital role in the lives of children with our after school activities! Schoolchildren discover new possibilities for creativity not possible in their school's curriculum, and they encounter new social activities that enrich the student experience.
About our After School Program
The Clay Studio is now offering an after-school program that serves as a long term artist residency for students. Participants learn to handbuild, wheel throw, and take part in other art forms such as painting, claymation and other forms of mixed media making. Students discover new possibilities for socialization and art making through collaborative ceramic projects.
Some curriculum themes explored in our first year of programming include wellness, highlighting artists of color, incorporating natural materials in the arts, and creating both functional and sculptural works.

Who is eligible for our After School Program?
Students in grades 3 - 5 from Moffet and Ludlow schools are currently eligible. If your child attends one of those schools, contact Kayla Johnson kjohnson@theclaystudio.org
