Lauren Dombrowiak is an artist and designer currently working in Philadelphia Pennsylvania where she received her MFA from Tyler School of Art. Prior to moving to Philadelphia Lauren lived and worked at Illinois State University as a Post-Baccalaureate in ceramics after receiving her Bachelors in Fine Art at Ohio University. She has always had a passion for making and teaching as she wants her students to make things they will love to live with and make the quiet experiences of everyday life a bit more enjoyable though handmade objects. Her artistic practice is a balance between function and beauty to help create spaces that serve a meaningful life with objects that will last through fine craftsmanship.
