My artistic practice is inspired by both the practical and spiritual use of vessels throughout human history. Each piece is saturated with textures, patterns, and colors that invite careful exploration. I find abstraction to be most beautiful when it allows something unexpected to emerge. The ceramic process itself is equally frustrating and thrilling, which has pushed me to dial in my technical skills more than any other medium.
I still come back to photography, painting, and drawing for a breath of fresh air every now and then. Collage especially helps to explore new narratives and see synchronicity.
