Where are you from and what brought you to Philadelphia?
I'm from the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia! I moved to Philly over a decade ago after a brief visit to West Philly on my way to NYC. I loved it so much I decided to pack up and move a few months later.
What drew you to the arts/clay?
The feeling of working with my hands and creating something tangible and long lasting from a lump of clay.
What’s your favorite part about working at The Clay Studio?
The people! Everyone here is passionate about clay and committed to providing inclusive, safe, accessible and high quality Art Education to everyone in our community.
What’s your favorite place in Philadelphia?
My favorite place is Bartram's Garden, in SW Philly. It feels like a little a green oasis in the middle of the city.
