Magic Garden Virtual Event: Clay Animals
Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens includes hundreds of Mexican folk art objects that were collected or commissioned by PMG creator Isaiah Zagar. Our current exhibition Hecho en México/Made in Mexico highlights work by many of the folk artists we love. To celebrate, we are partnering with The Clay Studio. Learn how to create animal sculptures using simple techniques and self-drying clay.

CraftNOW Create Virtual Event!
Craft steps out of the studio and into the hearts of Philadelphians with CraftNOW Create! Together, we will learn how to make monster heads in clay, dragonflies in wood, Swedish holiday gnomes and more. Activities are presented by the American Swedish Historical Museum, The Center for Art in Wood, The Clay Studio, Fabric Workshop and Museum, Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens, University of the Arts and Wild Hand. Most projects are ideal for elementary-aged students. Click here to see a list of materials you can use to create the projects as you watch the videos below, or watch the full playlist of videos on YouTube.
