Jan 8th - Jan 31st, 1993
From using clay as a prime building material in dry climates, to embellishing existing sculptures, there have been a number of uses for clay in Architecture throughout history and across the globe. The artists in the Architectural Clay exhibition represented a small amount of those working in architectural ornamentation and collaboration, each representing a slightly different approach to the ceramic materials. Several large scale works were displayed, as well as smaller-scale models describing the process involved from conception to implementation.
