1984 Invitational Artist Series: Kevin A. Hluch.
Our March Invitational Artist is Kevin A. Hluch of Frederick, Maryland. Mr. Hluch presently works at low temperatures using press molds. From these, he creates "ragged edge" forms such as his teapots, bowls, covered jars, and vessels. "I am much impressed with historical ceramics and inspired by various natural elements."
This will be the Philadelphia area's first opportunity to see his work which has been widely exhibited in the Ohio area, and as far away as New Zealand. Mr. Hluch's show opens at The Clay Studio Friday, March 2nd, and runs through March 23rd.
