Having garnered a love for ceramics early in life, Karly has always kept space for clay. There were times when she wasn’t in direct connection with the medium, but even in those moments, she was always thinking up and sketching out ideas.
Under the guidance of great mentors, she received her Associates of Arts from Northern Virginia Community College (2016) and her Bachelors of Arts from California State University Channel Islands (2023).
Karly currently serves as studio technician for The Clay Studio and maintains a studio practice balanced by a deep connection to her family. Navigating the space of being both mother and artist, Karly strives to nurture a love for curiosity, creativity and play both in the studio and her everyday life.
