About me
I am an Education Assistant at The Clay Studio. I joined this amazing team in 2017, and had the privilege of being a Work Exchange Artist the year leading up to that.
I am originally from Phoenix, Arizona, but have lived in Pennsylvania since 2008. I attended Moore College of Art and Design and graduated in 2016 with a BFA in Fine Arts and a minor in Art History.
About my art
My visual style is a blend of myth and folklore, 80’s animation, high fantasy, and punk rock. To keep the underglaze colors vibrant, I work with clay bodies that vitrify around ∆03. I primarily work in terracotta.
My work (and my essay about Mingei) was featured in Everday Ordinary, an exhibition catalog produced in 2019 in tandem with the exhibition Everyday Ordinary.
